Night Auditor

Our hotel has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a hotel night auditor. Part time, $17 per hour.

The night auditor is primarily responsiblefor balancing and auditing a hotel's financial transactions for a 24-hour period,ensuring accuracy and preparing reports for management. They also handle guest services during the overnight shift, including check-ins, check-outs, and addressing guest inquiries and concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Auditing:

• Reconciling daily financial transactions, such as room charges, restaurant bills, and other expenses.

• Verifying the accuracy of all postings and ensuring proper documentation.

• Preparing and distributing end-of-day financial reports.

• Identifying and resolving any discrepancies in financial records.

Guest Services:

• Checking guests in and out, including processing payments and issuing receipts.

• Answering phone calls and responding to guest inquiries and requests.

• Addressing guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.

• Providing information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.

Security and Operations:

• Monitoring security systems and conducting regular checks of the premises.

• Ensuring the front desk and common areas are clean and organized.

• Handling any emergency situations or incidents that may arise overnight.

• Maintaining a smooth transition between the night and day shifts.

Other:

• Handling reservations and managing changes or cancellations.

• Assisting with preparing and delivering reports to management.

• Communicating important information to the day staff.

Skills and Qualification

• Strong understanding ofbasic accounting principles and financial reconciliation.

• Excellent communicationand interpersonal skills to interact with guests effectively

• Ability to identify andresolve issues efficiently and professionally.

• Strong organizational skillsto manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.

• Proficiency in using hotelmanagement software and other relevant computer systems.
