Night Baker

Overview

We are looking to add a night baker to our small team at Anthos. This job involves cutting, shaping and baking various types of bread including sourdough, baguettes, fougasse, ciabatta etc. and helping to ready croissants and other pastry to bake. Our space is small so the ability to share space and work well with others is critical. This job is ideal for someone who doesn't mind night shift and takes pride in turning out quality bread for our retail and limited wholesale accounts. This job is off Monday and Tuesday and works Wednesday - Sunday generally 2AM-10AM. We are looking for 5 nights a week, but 4 nights is also possible.

Responsibilities

• Cut shape and bake a variety of breads in our deck oven.
• Maintain a clean and tidy station throughout the shift.
• Ensure quality control of our breads and other pastry products.
• Assist with preparing croissants and other baked goods for the convection ovens.
• Handle prep tasks like sweet and savory fillings as needed.
• Help with dishes throughout the night.

Qualifications

• Preferred one year experience in a commercial bakery.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and ability to maintain a clean workspace
• An ability to work with a sense of urgency.
• Attention to detail
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Reliable transportation and ability to work nights

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
