Duties

• Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, to transport bakery products to various locations
• Load and unload goods efficiently using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or dollies
• Follow designated routes accurately, managing delivery schedules to ensure prompt arrivals
• Adhere strictly to traffic laws, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and safe driving practices at all times
• Communicate effectively with customers, providing friendly service and addressing any delivery inquiries or concerns
• Complete delivery documentation accurately, including logs for load & unload activities and route records
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks before and after each shift

Requirements

• Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations involving moving heavy loads
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or van driving preferred
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks
• Strong knowledge of safe lifting practices for manual handling and heavy lifting tasks
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, including loading/unloading procedures and inventory management
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude and clear communication abilities
• Ability to adhere to DOT regulations, traffic laws, and workplace safety standards related to weight handling in the workplace
• Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation, delivery updates, and communication
