Night Care Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Care Assistant to provide high-quality care and support to our 28 residents. In this vital role, you will ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents in a care home environment or through home care services. Responsibilities

• Monitor residents’ safety and well-being throughout the night, responding promptly to any emergencies or concerns
• Assist residents with personal care tasks such as toileting, mobility, and hygiene as needed
• Follow individualized care plans to deliver tailored support that meets each resident’s needs
• Maintain accurate records of residents’ conditions, activities, and any incidents that occur during your shift
• Communicate effectively with team members, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
• Conduct regular checks of the environment to ensure safety standards are upheld and equipment is functioning properly
• Support residents in maintaining their routines and providing reassurance during overnight hours

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided
• Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents and team members
• Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately and responsibly
• Basic IT skills for record keeping and reporting purposes
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
• Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high standards of care

Pay: £13.55 per hour
