Night Care Assistant

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents throughout the night, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
• Respond promptly and effectively to call bells or emergency situations, providing reassurance and assistance
• Assist residents with personal care tasks such as toileting, repositioning, or medication reminders in accordance with care plans
• Conduct regular checks of the environment to ensure safety standards are maintained and report any hazards or concerns
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident observations, incidents, and care activities using IT systems
• Support with light housekeeping duties to keep communal areas tidy and welcoming during your shift
• Communicate clearly with team members and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and resident well-being

Experience

• Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided
• Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents, colleagues, and healthcare providers
• Ability to operate basic IT systems for documentation and reporting purpose.
• Knowledge of care plans and procedures related to elderly or vulnerable adults is beneficial
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, patience, and professionalism

Pay: £13.25-£14.70 per hour
