Night Care Assistant

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Assist residents or clients with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
• Follow individual care plans meticulously to meet each person’s specific needs and preferences
• Support clients with medication reminders and basic health monitoring as directed by healthcare professionals
• Maintain clear, respectful communication with clients, family members, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery
• Document care activities accurately using IT systems and ensure all records are up-to-date and compliant with regulations
• Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments when necessary, ensuring safe transportation and support
• Contribute to creating a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times

Skills

• Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
• Ability to follow detailed care plans precisely and adapt to changing needs with flexibility
• Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes
• Valid driving license preferred for roles involving home care or transportation of clients
• Experience working in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the sector
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring, empathetic approach towards others
• Good understanding of health and safety standards applicable in care environments

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
