Night Care Assistant

Contract: Full Time - Perm Hour: 30 – 37 hours per week Pay: £13.47 per hour weekdays & £14.47 per hour weekends Shift Times: 9.30pm to 7.30am – Weekdays and alternative Weekends Location: Anson Court, Shackleton Way, Welwyn Garden City, AL7 2FF Quantum Care is a no‑for‑profit organisation supporting over 2,000 older people across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex. We are seeking a Night Care Assistant to join our welcoming Care Home Anson Court based in Welwyn Garden City . Anson Court is a 75 bed residential care home which is welcoming, values driven based team where collaboration, compassion, respect and person-centred care is at the heart of everything they do.

As a Night Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate person-cantered care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

What You’ll Bring

• You’ll be naturally compassionate and patient, it is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because as long as you have a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first-class training will do the rest.
• You’ll be willing to undertake all aspects of care to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
• Training will be provided.
• A willingness to be trained and to achieve Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
• The ability to work shifts (including weekends and evenings).
• You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and support, including assistance with washing, dressing, grooming and toileting, as well as assisting with meals, hydration and nutritional care.
• Assisting residents with daily activities promoting independence
• Building positive and professional relationships with residents, families and colleagues
• Follow individual personalised care plans
• Working as a part of a team to deliver high quality of person- centred care
• Ensuring residents are safe and comfortable through the night.
