Responsibilities

• Monitor residents or clients overnight, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
• Respond promptly and effectively to any emergency situations or urgent needs during the night
• Assist with personal care tasks such as toileting, repositioning, or medication reminders as per care plans
• Maintain clear and accurate records of overnight activities, observations, and incidents
• Communicate effectively with daytime staff about any concerns or important updates regarding residents’ well-being
• Support residents’ emotional needs through attentive listening and reassurance
• Ensure the environment remains safe by checking for hazards and maintaining security protocols

Experience

• Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is highly desirable
• Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions for individual needs
• Strong communication skills in English to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members
• Basic IT skills for completing documentation and updating records electronically
• Valid driving license is a plus for roles involving community or home visits
• Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
• Compassionate attitude with excellent observational skills to identify changes in residents’ conditions

Pay: £10.71-£11.12 per hour
