About Us

NewBridge Care Home is a privately owned and independently run residential care home, established in 2011.

We specialise in providing high-quality, person-centred care for individuals living with dementia and/or mental health conditions.

We are a busy, well-established care home with an excellent reputation and are highly regarded by healthcare professionals and our local community.

We pride ourselves on delivering compassionate, dignified care in a friendly and supportive environment.

The Position

We are looking to recruit an experienced, reliable and hardworking Night Care Assistant to join our dedicated team.

Hours: 36 hours per week – 3 night shifts.

Shift Pattern:

  • Three night shifts per week, worked on a rota across seven days.
  • These are NOT fixed nights.
  • Applicants must be flexible and available to work weekdays and weekends.
  • This is a permanent position.

Our home supports residents with a wide range of care needs, including advanced dementia, mental health conditions, reduced mobility and complex behaviours. The role can be demanding, so we need someone who is confident, compassionate and genuinely committed to providing excellent care.

  • Carry out regular night-time safety and wellbeing checks.
  • Provide reassurance and emotional support to residents who may become distressed, anxious or confused.
  • Respond promptly to residents' needs and requests for assistance.
  • Maintain accurate care records and report any concerns or changes in residents' conditions.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a safe, comfortable and supportive environment throughout the night.
  • Follow safeguarding, infection control, health and safety and care home policies.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience working in a residential or dementia care setting is essential.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is extremely reliable, punctual and dependable.
  • Has previous hands-on care experience, ideally with dementia.
  • Is patient, caring, compassionate and respectful.
  • Is confident working in a busy and sometimes challenging care environment.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team and use their own initiative.
  • Has good communication skills and understands the importance of accurate record keeping.
  • Is flexible with working nights, including weekends.
  • Understands safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Takes pride in their work and is committed to delivering excellent standards of care.

What We Offer

  • A friendly and supportive working environment.
  • An established and respected independent care home.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • Support from an experienced management team.
  • The opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our residents.
