Night Dispatcher

Location: In-Office
Schedule: Midnight (12:00 AM) to 8:00 AM
Hours: 3-4 shifts per week

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Dispatcher to join our team. This position is responsible for coordinating and managing truck movements during overnight hours, providing real-time location updates, and maintaining clear communication with customers to ensure efficient and timely service.

The ideal candidate is organized, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable working independently during overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and manage drivers and trucks throughout assigned shifts
• Monitor shipments and track truck locations in real time
• Provide accurate location and status updates to customers
• Communicate with drivers regarding schedules, delays, and route changes
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and service requests
• Maintain detailed dispatch records and notes
• Coordinate with operations and management to resolve issues as they arise
• Ensure all deliveries and pickups are progressing according to schedule

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn dispatch/tracking software
• Previous dispatch, logistics, transportation, or customer service experience preferred, but not required
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential

Compensation

Competitive pay based on experience.
