About us: FreshChoice Greytown is a busy community supermarket serving the Wairarapa region. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Night Fill Manager to organise and oversee our nightfill operations, ensuring the store is fully replenished, well presented, and ready for customers each day.

About the Role: Reporting to the Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading the night-fill team and managing the efficient operation of the Grocery and Night Fill functions. This hands-on leadership role combines operational management, staff supervision, inventory control, and customer service responsibilities.

Hours: minimum 30 hours guaranteed, up to 45 hours per week | Monday to Sunday
Pay rate: $30 - $35 (depending on experience)
Minimum qualifications/experience: At least 3 years of relevant work experience OR at least level 4 Diploma in Management/Business

Key Responsibilities

• Organise and control all night-fill and replenishment activities.
• Determine and maintain appropriate stock levels to meet customer demand.
• Supervise, train, roster, and support night-fill team members.
• Monitor staff performance and ensure productivity and service standards are achieved.
• Oversee stock receiving, storage, rotation, and replenishment processes.
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels, stock movements, wastage, and inventory adjustments.
• Assist with ordering and purchasing activities to ensure product availability.
• Liaise with the operations manager to implement promotional, merchandising, and pricing initiatives.
• Monitor departmental performance and assist with achieving budget and sales targets.
• Ensure high presentation standards throughout the store.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Safety, and company policies.
• Respond to customer enquiries and resolve operational issues when required.
• Ensure the store is fully stocked, clean, and ready for trading each morning.
• Any other lawful request.

Other requirements

• Previous experience supervising or managing staff within a retail environment is preferred.
• Some knowledge of stock control, inventory management, and merchandising principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
