Night Porter

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Night Porter/Receptionist to provide exceptional guest services during overnight hours. This role involves ensuring the safety and comfort of guests, managing front desk operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a professional demeanour, and experience in hospitality settings.This position offers an opportunity to work within a vibrant hospitality team, delivering memorable experiences to our guests.

Shift pattern would be 11pm-7am thursday - Saturday

Duties

• Welcome guests upon arrival and assist with check-in/check-out procedures efficiently and courteously
• Handle guest enquiries via phone and in person, providing accurate information and assistance
• Maintain security protocols during overnight shifts, including monitoring CCTV and conducting regular patrols of the premises
• Manage reservations, cancellations, and special requests with attention to detail
• Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and welcoming throughout the shift
• Respond promptly to guest needs or concerns, escalating issues when necessary
• Process payments accurately using the hotel’s booking system
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and reporting as required
• Uphold high standards of phone etiquette and guest service at all times

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel reception or guest services is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally in person and over the phone
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Knowledge of hospitality best practices and customer service principles
• Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining a professional attitude
• Flexibility to work overnight hours on a shift basis; availability for night shifts is essential
