We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Porter to join our friendly and professional team at Practice Plus Group Hospital Birmingham.
You’ll play an important part in keeping our hospital safe, secure and running smoothly throughout the night. From supporting the safe movement of patients to carrying out security checks and assisting with facilities requirements, you’ll help create a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and colleagues.
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week on flexible days, with a salary of £30,215.25 per annum (FTE).
What you'll be doing
As our Night Porter, you’ll carry out regular security patrols, monitor entrances, exits and CCTV where applicable, and ensure restricted areas are secure.
You’ll respond to incidents and emergencies, support the resuscitation team, assist with waste management and deliver medical gas cylinders to clinical areas when required.
You’ll also support patients, visitors and healthcare colleagues with reasonable non-clinical requests, maintain communal areas, undertake basic maintenance checks and prepare facilities for the following day. Accurate records, security checks and handovers will also form part of your role.
