Night Production Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Night Production Supervisor to oversee overnight manufacturing activities in Franklin, Massachusetts. This position is responsible for keeping production on track while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and team performance. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership in a fast-paced industrial setting and knows how to balance workforce coordination, process discipline, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee nightly production operations to keep schedules on target and ensure efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment.

• Guide and support production team members throughout the shift, setting clear expectations for output, workmanship, and safe work practices.

• Observe manufacturing activity in real time, verify adherence to operating procedures, and address process gaps before they affect performance.

• Respond quickly to equipment, staffing, or workflow issues by coordinating corrective actions that reduce delays and maintain throughput.

• Partner with maintenance, engineering, quality, and logistics teams to resolve operational challenges and support uninterrupted plant performance.

• Lead shift start-up or handoff meetings to communicate priorities, safety reminders, production goals, and key updates to the team.

• Train and coach employees to strengthen technical capability, reinforce accountability, and encourage ongoing development on the production floor.

• Maintain complete and accurate records for shift activity, production results, incidents, and other required operational documentation.

• Support improvement efforts that increase productivity, reduce waste, and sustain organized work areas aligned with plant housekeeping standards.

• Help address employee concerns, contribute to performance management activities, and participate in reviews of safety, quality, or operational incidents when needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, industrial technology, or a related discipline is preferred.

• At least 7 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment.

• Minimum of 3 years in a supervisor or team lead role within a production setting.

• Solid knowledge of manufacturing operations, production flow, industrial equipment, and assembly or processing environments.

• Ability to read and interpret production schedules, operating data, reports, and technical instructions.

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage teams effectively across a shift.

• Demonstrated problem-solving, planning, and decision-making ability in a high-volume, fast-paced workplace.

• Commitment to safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement practices such as lean manufacturing and workflow optimization.
