Night Senior Care Assistant

Responsibilities

• Oversee the night shift operations, ensuring smooth delivery of care services aligned with individual care plans
• Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and leadership to maintain high standards of care
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations or resident needs during the night
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident wellbeing, incidents, and care activities using IT systems
• Communicate clearly with residents, their families, and team members to ensure transparency and personalized support
• Conduct regular safety checks of the premises to uphold a secure environment for residents and staff
• Assist with medication administration and personal care tasks as outlined in care plans when necessary

Experience

• Proven supervising or leadership experience within a care home or senior care setting
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically with residents and team members
• Experience in developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans tailored to individual needs
• Familiarity with IT systems used for documentation and reporting in healthcare environments
• Valid driving license is preferred to facilitate transportation or errands as required
• Previous experience working night shifts in a healthcare or social care setting is highly advantageous
