Responsibilities

• Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or breaches in real-time. You must hold a CCTV License.
• Control access to the premises by verifying identities of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, to identify potential security risks or hazards.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies by following established protocols and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, employing conflict management techniques to de-escalate disputes.
• Perform first aid and CPR when required, providing immediate assistance in medical emergencies until professional help arrives.
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security reports to ensure accurate record-keeping for future reference.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields is highly desirable.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
• Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and other security technology, You must hold a CCTV license.
• Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and conflict management techniques.
• Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members, visitors, and emergency responders.

Pay: £13.17 per hour

Expected hours: 38.0 – 45.0 per week
