Dirac Trading Group | Acton, London | Full-time, permanent | On-site | Monday to Friday nights, 22:30-07:00 (Monday evening through to Saturday morning)

Dirac Trading Group buys and sells clearance stock, starting with sportswear, and is growing fast. We are hiring a hands-on Shift Leader to run our Acton warehouse overnight.

You will be the most senior person on site through the night. That means keeping orders and stock moving, leading the night team, and making sure the morning shift walks into a warehouse that is accurate, tidy and ready to go.

What you will own

• Lead the night team, setting priorities at the start of each shift and keeping pace, accuracy and standards high through to 07:00.
• Arrive at 22:30 to take the handover from the evening shift before the night shift starts at 23:00.
• Pick, pack and check outbound orders so they are ready for dispatch, leading from the front on the floor.
• Process inbound stock, including receiving, counting, labelling and putting it away accurately in our warehouse system.
• Run a clear handover to the morning shift: what was done, what is outstanding and any issues found.
• Keep the warehouse clean, safe, organised and secure overnight.
• Uphold Health & Safety standards on shift and deal with incidents calmly and practically.
• Spot problems with stock, shipments or process and fix them or escalate them, rather than leaving them for the day team.
• Work with the Warehouse Manager and our ops and tech team to improve how the warehouse runs.

What we're looking for

• Experience as a shift leader, team leader, supervisor or senior operative in a UK warehouse.
• Comfortable working nights, and dependable: you turn up on time, every shift.
• Strong attention to detail on picking, packing and stock accuracy.
• Able to organise a small team and keep them productive without day-time management on site.
• Confident using handheld scanners and warehouse or stock systems.
• A valid forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one, is preferred. First Aid is a plus.
• Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
