Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Night Time Flatbed Operator, where your expertise in commercial truck driving and vehicle mechanics will keep operations running smoothly after hours. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely loading, securing, and transporting heavy flatbed cargo, ensuring all loads are compliant with safety standards. Your mechanical knowledge and automotive diagnostics skills will support minor repairs and troubleshooting on the road or at the yard. Responsibilities

• Safely operate flatbed trucks and tow trucks to load, unload, and transport cargo during night shifts
• Secure loads following cargo securement protocols to prevent shifting or damage during transit
• Conduct basic vehicle troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs to ensure vehicle safety and performance
• Perform automotive diagnostics to identify mechanical issues quickly and accurately
• Follow all safety procedures related to vehicle operation, cargo handling, and load securement
• Assist with vehicle recovery towing and car towing tasks when needed
• Maintain detailed logs of trips, inspections, repairs, and incidents for compliance and reporting purposes

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on flatbed operations and vehicle recovery towing
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform minor mechanical repairs and basic troubleshooting
• Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and automotive repair techniques specific to trucks and trailers
• Knowledge of cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks
• Excellent driving skills with a clean record operating manual transmission vehicles in various conditions
• Ability to manage conflicts professionally while maintaining a focus on safety and customer service
• Experience in car towing, vehicle mechanics for truck drivers, and load & unload procedures
