Nightshift HGV Technician (Mon - Thu Nights)

At A&D Logistics we offer a competitive hourly Nightshift rate of £23 per hour plus OT rates.

Our workshop team maintain our fleet of 85 trucks along with external customer ones to a high standard in our excellent workshop facilities we have on site. We offer the same professional service to external customers using the latest diagnostic and repair equipment.

Our Partnership with Renault Trucks Scotland has developed into a West of Scotland service point supporting the Renault brand growth. With the latest diagnostic and repair equipment we aim to deliver high standards and responsive service levels for all their customers.

We are recruiting for an additional full time Nightshift HGV Technician to join our team. HGV experience essential and trailer experience preferable.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Ensuring the Fleet are compliant to Roadworthiness Regulations
• Maintaining Fleet compliance through regular service inspections
• Preparing vehicles for MOT testing
• Responding to defect reporting processes and carrying out rectifications on Fleet vehicles and customer vehicles
• Communication with all teams to ensure no impact on Transport Operation

Competences and Qualifications:

• High level of problem solving and team working
• Excellent communication skills and a high level of flexibility
• Ability to perform to high standards
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Repair and Maintenance (for HGV Mechanics)
• IT literate
• Previous commercial vehicles experience
• Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience as an HGV Mechanic - Essential
• LGV C+E licence beneficial not essential
• Preferred experience as a shift supervisor
