We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our night shift team in our specialized ventilator and skilled nursing unit. As a Night Shift Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional respiratory care to our residents who require ventilator and complex pulmonary support.

Position Overview

As a Night Shift Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Providing comprehensive respiratory care to residents requiring ventilator and complex pulmonary support
• Collaborating with nursing staff, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure resident safety, comfort, and clinical excellence throughout the night
• Managing and monitoring ventilators and respiratory equipment
• Assessing residents' respiratory status and responding to changes in condition
• Administering respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered
• Performing trach care, suctioning, and airway management

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor ventilators and respiratory equipment

• Ensure ventilator alarms, settings, and equipment function properly
• Accurately document assessments, treatments, and interventions
• Collaborate closely with nursing and clinical leadership overnight
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide oncall clinical support as needed

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT) in the state of Ohio
• Ventilator experience required (SNF, LTACH, hospital, or ICU preferred)
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
