Nighttime Kennel Tech

Are you a night owl and like to be productive at night and you love dogs?

We are seeking a Nighttime Kennel Employee to join our team! You will be responsible for being present in the building during specified hours in case an emergency arises. Dogs will be sleeping during this time, but we only feel 100% comfortable knowing that our fur babies are being watched and we can immediately identify emergency situations should they arise. You will immediately contact the facility owner should a situation occur. Dogs will be all tucked away in their rooms after 8 p.m. and you will have full access to the front office including a TV and cot to relax. Cameras are installed in each dog room so you will be able to monitor them and contact the owner of the facility if need-be.

Responsibilities:

• Let dogs out one final time for bathroom breaks around 9-10 p.m.
• Clean lobby (vacuum, mop, wipe down counters)
• Unload/load dishwasher and washing machine/dryer
• Monitor dogs in our care through security cameras
• Identify situations that may warrant contacting the facility owner for guidance or help
• Act in an emergency to either contact the facility owner or 911 immediately
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment
• Clean kennel if a dog had an accident
• Let dogs out first thing in the morning at 5 a.m.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with dogs
• Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
• Ability to identify urgent or important situations that require facility owner intervention
• Ability to view a security system and identify which dog room may need attention
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Reliable transportation is a must!

Currently looking for availability for multiple nights, from 8 p.m. - 6 a.m. Flat rate pay with option for additional pay with additional hours prior to 8 p.m. or after 6 a.m.

Pay: $80.00 - $100.00 per day
