Job Overview

Looking for a driving opportunity with competitive pay and consistent freight? We are hiring CDL Class A drivers for a heavy-haul position based in Lakewood, Washington. Both experienced drivers and recent CDL graduates are encouraged to apply.

Drivers will operate routes primarily east and south of Sumner, with all routes returning to the home terminal. This position offers preloaded trailers, regular freight, and opportunities to earn up to $1,800 per week, depending on workload and schedule.

Pay & Benefits

• Weekly Earnings: Approximately $1,400-$1,800
• Trainee Pay: $900
• Guaranteed Pay: Available for the first 3 months after the first solo dispatch
• Weekly Miles: Approximately 2,000–3,000
• Stop Pay: $15 per stop
• Performance Bonus: Driver performance bonus program available
• Home Time: Varies by route and schedule

Freight & Routes

• Heavy-haul freight
• Routes heading east and south from Sumner, WA
• All routes return to Sumner
• Preloaded trailers to help reduce waiting time
• Live unloading at delivery locations
• Some drop-and-hook operations
• Weekend driving is required
• Chaining may be required on certain routes

Equipment

• Heavy-haul equipment
• Preloaded trailers
• Equipment and load procedures depend on the assigned route

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations
• Transport freight along assigned routes and return to the designated terminal
• Complete deliveries on schedule and follow customer procedures
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate driving logs and required documentation
• Follow all safety procedures, including chaining requirements when necessary

Requirements (Please Read Carefully)

• Valid CDL Class A license
• Experienced drivers and trainees are welcome
• No additional endorsements or certificates specified
• Must be available for weekend work
• Must be flexible with day or night shifts
• Must be willing to work holidays when the customer is operating
• Ability to meet the physical and operational demands of heavy-haul driving
