About the Role
We are urgently hiring trainees and experienced CDL Class A drivers for a dedicated Dollar Tree account operating within the Chesapeake/Richmond, VA area. This is a full-time position with consistent freight and weekends home. Drivers leave out the night before for an early morning stop, with occasional Saturday deliveries.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $0.90 per mile
• Average weekly earnings: $1,800 - $2200
• Weekly retention bonus: $100 for being available 5 days/week with no accidents, incidents, or HOS violations
• Driver Summer Retention Bonus available
• Short haul pay: $40 for loads under 51 miles
• Stop pay: $20.00
• Unload pay: $240.00
• Home weekends

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL Class A commercial vehicle
• Handle live unload deliveries, including floor load and roller delivery
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate ELD logs and required documentation
• Follow all DOT safety regulations and company policies

Requirements

• Experience Level: Trainees, first-seat (experienced), and 1-year experienced drivers accepted
• Specialized Equipment: Rollers, racks, and load bars
• Endorsements: None required
• Shifts: Both day and night
• Valid CDL Class A license
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
• Good safety record and responsible driving habits
• Must reside within 70 miles of Chesapeake or Richmond, VA
