NOC Engineer / IT System Operator

About the role

This role involves daily Network Operation duties including Incident, Problem, Request, and Change Management. You will install, design, maintain, and troubleshoot Hardware, Software, and Applications related to Data Center and Cloud Technology. You will maintain, improve, and resolve Network Infrastructure issues to ensure service delivery meets SLA requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and perform daily Network Operation tasks including Incident, Problem, Request, and Change Management
• Install, design, maintain, and troubleshoot Hardware, Software, and Applications for Data Center and Cloud Technology
• Maintain, improve, and resolve Network Infrastructure issues to meet SLA requirements
• Monitor and assess Network system performance to ensure system availability and stability
• Prepare monthly reports as assigned
• Install and configure Operating Systems
• Provide customer service and escalate issues to Tier 2-3 teams according to defined procedures
• Coordinate with relevant teams and departments to analyse and resolve issues
• Maintain and record customer data for service users and Data Center access according to security procedures
• Perform work according to ISO standards and procedures, and handle various situations and incidents correctly

About you

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Network Infrastructure Support and Ticketing Systems
• Experience installing and configuring Networks such as VLAN, BGP, and L7 Firewall
• Experience with Network Monitoring Tools such as PRTG, Cacti, or Zabbix
• Ability to handle and communicate professionally with customers, especially in situations where customers are dissatisfied
• Interest in and willingness to learn more about Network Technology and self-study new knowledge
• Ability to work shift work, day/night shifts (24/7)
• Experience with VLAN, VXLAN, Spanning Tree, MPLS, Port Aggregation, CIDR, and Routing Protocols (Static, OSPF, BGP) is a plus
• Experience with Virtualization/Containerization such as VMware, VirtualBox, or OpenStack is a plus
• Experience with Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, or AWS is a plus
• CCNA/CCNP certification and English language skills are a plus
