NOC Engineer (L1/L2) - Network & Security

Our client is looking for a NOC (Network Operations Center) Engineer to join a Porto-based team providing 24/7 Level 1/2 network and security support across multiple entities and locations. This is an operational, hands-on shift role focused on monitoring critical infrastructure, responding to alerts, troubleshooting network issues, and managing changes within a structured ITSM process.

The ideal profile has direct NOC experience, strong multi-vendor networking knowledge (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Check Point, Fortinet), and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-availability financial environment. Portuguese fluency is mandatory as the team is locally based in Porto and operates across all market hours.

You will join a Network Operations Center team in Porto, ensuring the continuity and reliability of network and security infrastructures across multiple entities and locations.

Operating in a 24/7 shift environment covering all market hours, you will monitor, maintain, and support critical systems for one of Europe's leading financial market infrastructure groups.

Shifts (1 hour handover):

• 7AM - 4PM

• 3PM - 12AM

• 11PM - 8AM

• Monitor network and security infrastructure using dedicated monitoring platforms and respond promptly to alerts following established processes

• Troubleshoot network incidents, research specific solutions, and restore service within SLA timeframes

• Manage network changes in accordance with the change management process

• Prioritize tasks and incidents according to SLA requirements

• Collaborate with the team to identify and implement service and process improvements

• Proactively identify, own, and escalate any issue or problem that could impact business operations

Experience Required

• Previous experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or Systems Operations Center (SOC/SNOC), or equivalent technical background in network operations

• Proven ability to troubleshoot in multi-vendor environments under operational pressure

• Experience working within structured ITSM or change management frameworks

• Ability to operate independently and collaboratively in a 24/7 rotating shift environment
