What they need
The Night Shift nurse evaluates and supervises work performance of nursing personnel assisting in resident care. Maintains acceptable standards of nursing practice. Able to make decisions in emergency situations and practices first aide measures. Requires good organizational skills. Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions. Assures nursing staff are following facility policy and procedures.
The night shift nurse is working alone at night and is responsible for up to 62 patients.
