NOC Tooling Engineer

1. Manage and maintain platforms such as:

· Fortinet security fabric (e.g. FortiEMS, FortiAuthenticator, FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer)

· Network quality tools (e.g. SmokePing, Zabbix or equivalent)

· Logging & Archive platforms (e.g. GrayLog or equivalent)

· Radius system (Opensource radius system)

· Vulnerability assessment tools (e.g. SecPoint or equivalent)

· Network automation (e.g Netbox or equivalent)

2. Perform installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades

3. Ensure platforms are stable, secure, and available

4. Integrate tools into NOC operations (monitoring, alerting, ticketing)

5. Improve alert quality and reduce noise

6. Develop scripts (PowerShell / Python / Bash) for automation

7. Troubleshoot and support platform-related issues (L2/L3)

8. Maintain documentation (SOP, MOP)

9. Generate monthly reports for customers and support NOC / Operations Manager with service reporting

(SLA, incidents, performance, platform health)

Job Requirements: (e.g., educational/ professional qualifications)

1. Degree qualification in Computer Science or a related field.

2. Understand network fundamental with relevant network certifications such as Cisco CCNA or equivalent will be an advantage.

3. Strong working knowledge of Linux systems administration and knowledge of scripting (PowerShell / Python / Bash); Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification preferred

4. Hands-on experience managing Fortinet Security Fabric components. Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) preferred.

5. Good verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact professionally with customers.
