Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Node.js Developer with experience in MySQL database development to build, maintain, and optimize scalable server-side applications and RESTful APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js and Express.js.
• Design, develop, and optimize MySQL databases, tables, indexes, and queries.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Optimize application performance and database query execution.
• Handle database transactions, joins, stored procedures, and data validation.
• Debug issues, troubleshoot errors, and improve application reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and other team members.
• Use Git for version control and follow coding best practices.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with Express.js.
• Good understanding of MySQL database design and SQL queries.
• Experience with CRUD operations, joins, subqueries, indexes, and transactions.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming, Promises, and async/await.
• Understanding of authentication using JWT or session-based mechanisms.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub/GitLab.
• Basic knowledge of error handling, logging, and API security.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Sequelize, Prisma, or another Node.js ORM.
• Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with Redis, caching, and application performance optimization.
• Knowledge of unit testing using Jest or Mocha.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
