Node.Js Developers

About the role

Tech-Matrix Sdn Bhd is seeking experienced Node.js Developers to join our dynamic development team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on innovative projects in the Information & Communication Technology sector, contributing to the development of robust server-side applications and real-time systems. Based in Kuala Lumpur, this contract role offers flexibility and the chance to collaborate with talented developers on challenging technical initiatives.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and maintaining scalable Node.js applications and microservices
• Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features
• Debugging and troubleshooting technical issues to ensure optimal application performance
• Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members
• Integrating third-party APIs and services into Node.js applications
• Optimising applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Contributing to the development of RESTful APIs and real-time applications
• Participating in agile development processes and sprint planning meetings
• Maintaining and updating project documentation and technical specifications

What we're looking for

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Solid experience with popular Node.js frameworks such as Express.js or Fastify
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL and NoSQL)
• Understanding of RESTful API design and development
• Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD)
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture
• Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)
• Preferred: Knowledge of message queues and event streaming (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Preferred: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
