Duties

• Safely operate a non-CDL box truck to deliver goods to various locations, following designated routes and schedules
• Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while practicing safe lifting practices
• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time, maintaining proper documentation and delivery logs
• Adhere strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, and safety standards during all driving activities
• Assist with warehouse operations including material handling, inventory checks, and moving items within the facility as needed
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers via mobile devices to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure the truck’s safety and compliance with maintenance schedules

Qualifications

• Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations involving manual handling and moving heavy loads
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating a commercial truck or van preferred but not required for non-CDL vehicles
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is highly desirable
• Knowledge of warehouse procedures, material handling equipment operation (such as pallet jacks), and safe lifting practices
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and efficiently while following workplace weight handling guidelines
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members
• Understanding of DOT regulations related to weight limits, hours of service, and safety protocols during route driving
