NON CDL Shuttle Driver

Plymouth State University is seeking Shuttle Drivers.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Operate Shuttles to transport passengers over established routes according to time schedule.
• Perform vehicle pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections.
• Report hazardous road or travel conditions via two-way radio to dispatcher, as necessary.
• Fuel and clean vehicle upon completion of shift, as required.
• May be required to assist passengers in use of wheelchair lift and equipment, or in emergency situations by applying first aid.
• Perform related duties, as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience :

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to pass DOT drug & alcohol testing under all required categories (pre-placement, random, suspicion, post-accident, return to duty, and follow- up)

Required Licenses & Certifications :

• Valid operator’s license
• Ability to pass and maintain a valid DOT physical medical card

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

• Knowledge of state laws governing the operation of motor vehicles
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the dispatcher and public
• Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of this position

Other Requirements :

• Ability to perform vehicle pre-trip inspections outdoors in all types of weather; rain, snow, hot & cold weather
