Non-Competitive Cheer Coach

Job Summary

Duties

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate cheerleading instruction.
• Foster a safe environment by teaching proper technique and emphasizing injury prevention
• Lead warm-up exercises, stretching routines, and cool-down sessions to promote flexibility and prevent injuries
• Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and program coordinators to ensure clear understanding of schedules and expectations
• Monitor participant behavior to maintain a respectful and inclusive atmosphere
• Support the development of sportsmanship, teamwork, and confidence among all cheerleaders

Requirements

• Prior experience in cheerleading or related sports such as gymnastics or dance is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage children and teens
• Experience working with children in a coaching or teaching capacity
• Certifications in First Aid, CPR, AED operation, and child safety are preferred but not required; training can be provided upon hire
• Background in sports coaching or physical education enhances your ability to lead effectively
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques to foster positive team dynamics
• Enthusiasm for promoting physical activity, health, and team spirit among youth
