Non-Destructive Testing Trainee

NDT Trainee

Industrial Testing Laboratory Services is a local, independent testing laboratory located in Pittsburgh; ITLS has been a leader in non-destructive testing services in the Pittsburgh region since 1959 and provides metallurgical, nondestructive and mechanical testing services primarily to component manufacturers supporting the defense industries. We are currently looking for (1) NDT trainee to join our company who is willing to learn, adapt and grow with Industrial Testing Laboratory Services.

Job Functions;

· Maintain safe, secure and healthy working environment, adhering to company safety standards

· Performs all duties as assigned

· Assists senior technician

· Performs duties assigned by the senior technician and/or Department Manager

· Attend required training classes

· Assist certified NDT inspectors

Job Qualifications;

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Basic math and comprehension skills

· Excellent communication skills

· Ability to work in Microsoft Office Suite (Office, Outlook, Excel)

· Experience utilizing technology as part of job function

· Previous experience in NDT experience preferred

· Travel requirement; 25-50%

· Work Environment;

· Working Hours are 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

· Must be able to wear all necessary safety equipment as defined in company policy

Physical and Mental Requirements;

• Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 100 pounds
• Must be able to be on your feet up to 8 hours per day
• Must be willing to climb ladder

Pre-hire physical and drug-screening may be required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.50 - $25.80 per hour
