Coffs Coast Legacy is dedicated to caring for the families of veterans who have given their lives or health in service of our country. Serving the Mid North Coast, we provide holistic support through community outreach, social connectivity, financial relief, and high-quality care through our 49-bed residential aged care facility, Legacy on Victoria.

It is an exciting period of growth for Coffs Coast Legacy. We are currently advancing a major construction project—including brand-new apartments designed to directly assist transitional veterans—while actively exploring opportunities to expand our housing portfolio to meet future community demand.

The Opportunity

We are seeking collaborative, community-minded individuals to join our Board as Voluntary Non-Executive Directors. You will play a vital role in shaping our strategic direction, providing strong risk oversight, and guiding our expanding housing and community service operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive strategic governance, financial stewardship, and operational oversight across aged care, housing, and welfare services.
• Oversee strict compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, statutory regulations, and community housing requirements.
• Provide strategic direction for future housing portfolio expansion.
• Attend monthly board meetings, sub-committee sessions, and key organisational events.

About You & Key Qualifications

To complement our existing board and support our strategic goals, we are looking for candidates who bring expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• Community Services & Veteran Experience: We strongly encourage applications from veterans, as well as individuals with hands-on experience in welfare, social work, or veteran advocacy.
• Housing & Property Development: Experience in property asset management, social/affordable housing, major project delivery, or portfolio expansion strategy.
• Aged Care/Clinical Governance: Experience in aged care specifically clinical governance.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong financial literacy and understanding of complex regulatory frameworks.
• Alignment with Mission: A deep, genuine commitment to supporting ADF veterans, their families, and senior community members.
