Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and planting to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor spaces
• Operate ground maintenance and landscaping equipment such as power tools, lawn mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
• Identify various plants, shrubs, trees, and pests to support effective gardening and pest management strategies
• Assist with irrigation system installation, inspection, and repairs to maintain optimal watering schedules
• Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to promote plant health while minimizing environmental impact
• Maintain hardscape features such as pathways, patios, and retaining walls to enhance landscape aesthetics
• Follow safety procedures diligently during all outdoor activities to ensure personal safety and compliance with regulations

Experience

• Prior outdoor work experience or hands-on involvement in landscaping or gardening projects is preferred
• Knowledge of horticulture principles, plant identification, and landscape design is advantageous
• Familiarity with grounds maintenance equipment operation including power tools and irrigation systems is highly desirable
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to landscape tools and equipment maintenance is beneficial
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for extended periods of activity
• Understanding of pesticide management practices and safety protocols is a plus
• Enthusiasm for learning new skills related to lawn care, gardening, hardscape construction, and grounds maintenance
