Floating Teacher – Early Childhood Education

Early Learning Childcare is looking for a dependable, energetic, and caring Floating Teacher to join our team at our Jeffersonville, Indiana location!

We are seeking someone who loves working with children of all ages, is flexible, and enjoys being part of a supportive team. Our ideal candidate is reliable, patient, and willing to jump in wherever help is needed throughout the day.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support and supervision for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
• Assist lead teachers with daily activities, classroom routines, and lesson plans.
• Move between classrooms as needed to maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios.
• Cover staff breaks, lunches, and absences.
• Help with feeding, diapering, toileting, and other daily care routines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
• Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities and play.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Follow all Indiana childcare licensing regulations and center policies.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous childcare experience preferred but not required.
• Must meet Indiana childcare licensing and background check requirements.
• Ability to work with children of different ages and developmental stages.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and flexible.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms and daily schedules.
• Positive attitude and genuine passion for working with children.

Position: Floating Teacher

Center Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
