NPD Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a NPD Engineer to join our EPS Technical Team in Shenzhen who will work within a global and cross-functional team to advance new product development projects from concept through commercialization in the Asia Pacific region, you will need to identifying critical uncertainties, designing targeted experiments, rapidly building new prototypes, defining and assessing fitness-for-use, and driving commercialization and scale up.

Responsibilities

• Lead material selection and specification development for new and derivative products.
• Design, execute, analyze, and document laboratory experiments.
• Evaluate product and material performance against end-use requirements.
• Develop and validate materials, processes, and test methods.
• Communicate project progress, technical findings, and recommendations to global stakeholders.
• Apply disciplined project management practices to prioritize and execute work.
• Troubleshoot complex material, process, and product performance issues.
• Support scale-up, commercialization, and manufacturing transfer activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or chemistry related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial experience in polymer/materials development; coatings experience preferred.
• Proven experience supporting new product development from concept through commercialization.
• Expertise in experimental design (DOE), statistical analysis, and data-driven decision making.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills in English.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% as required.
