We are delighted to be partnering with a well-established food manufacturer producing much-loved branded products alongside own label ranges for major UK retailers. They are looking for a New Product Development Manager to join their team in a true concept to launch role. You will own multiple retail and internal brand projects from the first customer proposal right through to launch, mapping critical paths and guiding each one through a structured stage gate process.

This is a highly customer-facing role where you will be the front line face of NPD, presenting trial products for approval and working closely with account directors and commercial colleagues to deliver cost effective products that launch profitably. You will run line trials and product evaluations, lead flavour, ingredient, process and packaging changes and spot opportunities that help customers hit their strategic goals. You will also manage one direct report while reporting into the Senior NPD Manager, with genuine progression and growth on offer.

You will bring NPD experience from a medium to large branded or own label food manufacturing environment, ideally with a degree in food technology, food science or food engineering. Confidence with customers, brand managers and retail technologists is key, as are strong organisation and accurate record keeping. Travel to customer sites and occasional visits to other production sites are part of the role.

In return you will receive £50,000 with an annual salary review, hours of 8.45am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday with one flexible day working from home each week, 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays with the option to buy 5 more, a 4% employer pension contribution, company healthcare and life insurance.
