NPD Sourcing

Role & responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials and components for wiring harness production.
• Handle RFQs, supplier quotations, commercial negotiations, and price comparisons.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Coordinate with Production, PPC, Stores, and Quality departments for material planning and requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials as per production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and avoid shortages or excess stock situations.
• Identify alternate suppliers and support cost reduction initiatives through localization and value engineering.
• Track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and pending materials.
• Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery delays, shortages, and logistics.
• Maintain procurement records, MIS reports, and ERP updates.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards and company procurement policies.
• Support supplier audits, performance evaluations, and continuous improvement activities.
• Monitor market trends and raw material price fluctuations for strategic purchasing decisions.

Preferred candidate profile

• Vendor management and supplier development
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Knowledge of procurement cycle and inventory control
• Understanding of BOM, MRP, and sourcing processes
• ERP/SAP knowledge preferred
• Good analytical and cost comparison skills
• MS Excel proficiency
• Problem-solving and follow-up capability
