Job Summary :
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in CNC and VMC machining, tooling, fixtures, cycle-time optimisation, and forged component development. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who can develop innovative manufacturing solutions, reduce costs, improve productivity, and successfully launch new products.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead new product development (NPD) from feasibility studies and prototyping to validation and mass production.
• Develop innovative, cost-effective manufacturing solutions using out-of-the-box thinking.
• Apply hands-on expertise in CNC and VMC machining, tooling, fixtures, and machining process optimisation.
• Understand cold forging and hot forging processes, including forged blank development and subsequent machining operations.
• Identify opportunities for Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VA/VE), cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
• Optimise machining cycle times and improve manufacturing process efficiency.
• Interpret engineering drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and material specifications.
• Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, Purchase, Tool Room, and external suppliers to ensure smooth product development.
• Identify manufacturing challenges and implement practical, technically sound solutions.
• Ensure successful product launches within defined quality, cost, and project timelines.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve component quality, process capability, and manufacturing efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in New Product Development, preferably in precision-machined components.
• Strong practical knowledge of CNC and VMC machining processes.
• Experience in tooling, fixture development, and machining cycle-time optimisation.
• Knowledge of cold forging and hot forging processes, forged blanks, and post-forging machining.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and material specifications.
• Proven ability to identify manufacturing problems and develop innovative, cost-effective solutions.
• Experience in VA/VE, cost reduction, productivity improvement, and process optimisation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Ability to take ownership of product quality, cost, and project delivery.

Candidates with demonstrable hands-on experience and measurable achievements in product development will be preferred.
