NPD / Tool Design Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Adhere to IATF, QMS, and Customer Specific Requirements (CSR).
• Comply with EMS and EOHS requirements.
• Maintain 5S, document control, and confidentiality within the department.
• Develop product and tool designs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Prepare 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and design documents.
• Receive and review inputs from Product Design for tool development.
• Design Fine Blanking Tools for all LGB plants, including LGB Mexico and GFM.
• Participate in tool trials, part inspection, and implement design changes through DCRs.
• Conduct DFM reviews, tolerance analysis, and FMEA to ensure robust designs.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Process, and Product Design teams for successful project execution.
• Design and develop secondary tools, gauges, jigs, and fixtures as required.
• Release tool drawings to manufacturing and maintain design records.
• Handle DCR preparation, tracking, and documentation.
• Support APQP, PPAP, ECN, and other NPD documentation activities.
• Prepare tooling cost estimates and support RFQ activities when required.
• Record and resolve tool design issues through corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure all designs meet quality, safety, reliability, and customer requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and implementing design standards.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
