Position Job Description
NPI Project Coordination

• Coordinate new product and product change projects.

• Maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and responsible owners.

• Monitor progress, risks, blockers, pending actions, and overdue items.

• Coordinate activities from development through prototype, trial, pilot production, and production release.

• Report project status and escalate significant risks or delays.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate activities between SHARK, Engineering, R&D, Quality, Production, Process Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Suppliers.

• Coordinate technical information, samples, drawings, specifications, and approvals.

• Follow up actions and ensure key decisions and approvals are recorded and traceable.

Product & Production Readiness

• Coordinate prototype, trial, pilot production, and first production activities.

• Follow up required validation and approval status.

• Verify overall readiness before project gates and production release.

• Track open issues, follow up responsible actions, and escalate unresolved issues affecting timing or readiness.

Technical test planning, test execution, result analysis, and technical approval remain the responsibility of the R&D Engineer or designated technical owner.

Engineering Change Management

• Coordinate ECR and ECN activities from initiation through implementation and closure.

• Ensure affected functions review and implement approved changes.

• Follow up change status, timing, and revision traceability.

• Ensure approved changes are reflected in applicable engineering and product information.

Product Configuration & Master Data

• Coordinate and maintain product configuration and engineering master data.

• Verify consistency of BOM, product codes, EAN, specifications, and applicable product configuration.

• Maintain revision and configuration traceability.

• Coordinate updates with relevant master-data or system owners.

Production Release & Handover

• Coordinate final readiness review before production release.

• Verify required approvals and documentation are complete.

• Follow up significant issues during initial production.

• Coordinate handover to normal production and responsible functions.

Engineering Documentation & Department Support

• Maintain NPI project records, trackers, action lists, and related engineering documentation.

• Support engineering document revision and distribution.

• Support Product Development coordination and administrative activities as assigned.

Authority

• Coordinate NPI meetings and project follow-up activities.

• Request project status and required information from relevant functions.

• Escalate project risks, overdue actions, and readiness gaps.

• Request correction of incomplete or inconsistent product information.

• Coordinate ECR/ECN activities according to ACS procedures.

• Recommend postponement of production release when critical requirements or approvals are incomplete.

The NPI Engineer does not replace the technical authority of R&D, Product Engineering, Quality, Process Engineering, or other responsible functions.

Profile & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Development, or related field

• Experience in NPI, Product Development, Project Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Engineering Coordination

• Manufacturing experience is preferred

• Good understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, BOM, product configuration, and engineering documentation

• Experience with ECR/ECN and engineering master data is an advantage

• Good project coordination, planning, follow-up, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Strong cross-functional communication and documentation/revision control discipline

• Good computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related engineering/data systems

• Good command of Thai and English for internal and international coordination

• Detail-oriented, systematic, and able to work within project timelines
