NPI Engineer

• Lead and execute New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for precision-machined mechanical components from development through production release.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T, materials, tolerances, and special process requirements to assess manufacturing feasibility, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop manufacturing routes, process flows, tooling and fixture concepts, inspection plans, and process control requirements to support successful product industrialization.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration between Engineering, Production, Quality, Planning, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely and successful NPI execution.
• Coordinate prototype builds, process validation, first article inspections (FAI), and production readiness activities.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate technical, quality, manufacturing, cost, and schedule risks throughout the NPI lifecycle.
• Analyze engineering and manufacturing issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvements in quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
• Maintain NPI documentation, work instructions (WI), process records, lessons learned, and production handover packages.
• Communicate technical requirements, project status, risks, and recovery plans clearly to stakeholders and management.

Job Requirement

• Min. Diploma / Degree in Advanced Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor equipment / precision engineering industry.
• Able to interpret complex mechanical drawings, GD&T, specifications and manufacturing requirements.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and SolidCAM, or equivalent CAD/CAM software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to prepare clear technical reports, trackers and presentations.
• Hands-on exposure to machine operation and shop-floor manufacturing activities.
• Experience working collaboratively with customers, suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge and exposure to manufacturing and tertiary processes.
• Practical experience in continuous improvement and structured problem-solving for manufacturing and quality issues.
• CWI is a plus.
