NPI Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Review customer drawings and specifications, and prepare Design for Manufacturability (DFM) recommendations where necessary.
• Evaluate product feasibility and provide engineering solutions to optimize manufacturability, quality, and cost.
• Prepare and maintain Process Work Instructions (PWI), process drawings, and related manufacturing documentation.
• Establish and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) in the ERP/MRP system.
• Coordinate and work closely with Production, Quality, Purchasing, Planning, and other internal departments to ensure smooth NPI implementation.
• Monitor and update NPI project status, ensuring timely follow-up on project milestones and deliverables.
• Support engineering changes and ensure effective implementation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Liaise with external suppliers and subcontractors regarding plating, machining, heat treatment, surface finishing, and other outsourced manufacturing processes.
• Ensure subcontracted processes meet quality, delivery, and technical requirements.
• Design and develop soft tools, jigs, fixtures, and production aids to support manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate tooling fabrication, validation, and implementation.
• Review First Article (FA) reports and related quality documentation prior to shipment approval.
• Work with Quality Assurance to resolve engineering and quality-related issues during product introduction.
• Ensure all engineering records, documentation, and system transactions are accurate and properly maintained.

Job Requirements:

Academic Qualification: Minimum Diploma in mechanical engineering ,Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.

Work Experience / skill : Minimum 3 years experiences preferably in metal stamping and metal sheet fabrication. Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor. Knowledge of tooling, jigs, fixture design, and manufacturing processes.

Others: Positive attitude, high level of integrity, able to work with others independently. Ability to work under tight dateline and passionate. Conversant in English.
