NPI Engineer – New Product Introduction

About the Role

We are looking for an NPI Engineer to support the successful introduction and launch of new products by coordinating stage-gate activities, monitoring project readiness, and ensuring that required deliverables, actions, and decisions are properly tracked and completed.

This role works closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and PPIC to ensure that NPI projects are properly planned, reviewed, and ready for each stage of implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate NPI stage-gate activities, including preparation of gate reviews, readiness checklists, and required deliverables.
• Monitor project readiness and ensure that required documentation and evidence are complete before each gate.
• Maintain and monitor RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies) trackers, decision logs, and action items.
• Follow up with project owners on outstanding actions, risks, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on NPI requirements, timelines, and readiness.
• Prepare project reports, dashboards, presentations, and other NPI-related reports for management review.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables using appropriate planning and scheduling tools.
• Escalate significant risks, delays, and unresolved issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Support the review of lessons learned and recurring issues to improve future NPI execution.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the NPI stage-gate process and project governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates with relevant internship, academic project, or exposure to project management, manufacturing, NPI, or process improvement are welcome to apply.
• Experience in New Product Introduction, project coordination, manufacturing, or engineering projects is an advantage.
• Understanding of project planning, stage-gate processes, risk management, or continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Knowledge of MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet, or similar scheduling tools is an advantage.
• Familiarity with APQP, RAID management, project controls, or NPI processes is an advantage.
