NPI OFFICER / ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE

About the role

We are seeking a talented NPI Officer / Assistant Executive to join the R&D team at Supercomal Medical Products Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Sungai Petani, Kedah.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the transition of new medical products from development through to commercial production. You will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional activities, ensuring that new products are introduced efficiently, meet quality standards, and are brought to market on schedule. This position is essential to our manufacturing and logistics operations, directly supporting the company's growth and innovation objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the NPI process from product design phase through to full-scale manufacturing and market launch
• Develop and maintain comprehensive NPI documentation, including process flows, work instructions, and quality checklists
• Liaise between product development, manufacturing, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure seamless product transitions
• Monitor project timelines and deliverables, escalating any delays or issues to senior management
• Conduct feasibility assessments for new products, identifying potential manufacturing and operational challenges
• Support process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives within the NPI function
• Maintain accurate records and reports on NPI project status and metrics
• Assist in training production and quality teams on new product specifications and manufacturing procedures
• Collaborate with external suppliers and partners to ensure component readiness and supply chain alignment

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in new product introduction, process engineering, or operations
• Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively across different departments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with ERP systems
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality and safety standards
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and implement practical solutions
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 or other medical device quality management systems is advantageous
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management is desirable
