NPI Process Engineer

The NPI Process Engineer is responsible for leading and controlling day-to-day New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to ensure compliance with quality and manufacturing standards. The role focuses on process improvement, yield enhancement, cost reduction, and the successful introduction of new products into production.

Key Responsibilities

• Support NPI deliverables, including documentation, jigs and fixtures, process flows, and related requirements.
• Monitor, summarize, and provide updates on fixture inventory to support production needs.
• Develop work instructions and process documentation for new models and NPI products.
• Prepare build reports for NPI runs and implement corrective actions for identified issues.
• Qualify and perform buy-off activities for new jigs, fixtures, and equipment.
• Prepare and maintain required NPI documents, including:
• PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
• PCP (Process Control Plan)
• Process Playbook
• Process Qualification (PQ)
• Readiness Checklist
• Other related manufacturing and quality documents
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product transfer from development to mass production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) or manufacturing process engineering.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work efficiently in a cross-functional and multicultural environment.
