NPI Process Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities

• NPI Process Ownership & Yield Ramp – 70%
• Develop and validate robust manufacturing processes aligned with specifications.
• Lead cross-functional troubleshooting and data-driven improvement for NPI issues.
• Manage successful handover to mass production.
• Release validation reports, SOPs, and process deliverables.
• Automation Project Deployment – 20%

Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to deploy full-cycle automation projects for efficiency improvement.

• Special Assignments – 10%

Support specific projects as required.

Qualification & Requirements

• Technical Skills: Proficient in 8D/6 Sigma and root cause analysis; proven track record in complex process R&D breakthroughs and yield ramp-ups.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronic /Electrical /Optical /Telecommunications Engineering or related.
• A minimum of 5 years of end-to-end NPI project delivery experience in the mid-to-high volume consumer electronics or opto-electronics manufacturing industry. Candidates with R&D design background are strongly preferred.
• Language: Fluent in English and Mandarin.
• Soft Skills: Results-oriented, analytical, proactive, and logical with strong multi-tasking abilities.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication skills for cross-functional, global teams and vendor management.
• Ethics: High standards of professionalism, integrity, and safety; aligned with company values.

Coherent Shenzhen is specializing in the manufacturing and development of optoelectronics and communication components, optical semiconductor, broadband network equipment as well as communication software development and provide related technical consulting and technical services of it. The company covers 7320 square meters with more than 3,000 square meters cleanroom. There are more than 800 skilled employees.
