Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Per Diem)

The Molecular Imaging and Nuclear Medicine Staff Technologist is responsible for providing compassionate patient care, monitoring, and instruction. They handle the procurement, preparation, quality control, dispensing, dose calibration, administration, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals, including radiotherapy agents, and assist with administering pharmaceuticals and contrast media under supervision. Key duties include operating imaging and laboratory equipment, performing quality control procedures, and ensuring safety standards.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's of Science in a scientific field with a certified Nuclear Medicine Technology program or an Associate's degree plus two years of experience. Experience in Molecular/Nuclear Imaging (SPECT/CT/PET/MR) is preferred. Certifications required upon hire include Nuclear Medicine registration (NMTCB or ARRT), and current licenses and certifications such as BLS/CPR and NIH Human Subjects Protection.

Must possess knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, medical terminology, and imaging systems like NMIS, RIS, and HIS. Strong interpersonal, communication, judgment, and teamwork skills are essential, along with the ability to handle interruptions, adapt to workload changes, and prioritize tasks. A professional appearance, safety compliance, and a positive attitude are required.
