Nucleotides Chemist

BroadPharm is a San Diego-based, fast-growing biotech company specializing in manufacturing and supply of high-purity bioconjugation linkers, drug delivery lipids, and other biochemical products for customers worldwide. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Nucleotides Chemist to join our dynamic R&D team. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, synthesis, characterization, and optimization of nucleotides and phosphoramidite for pharmaceutical and biotech R&D.

Responsibilities:

• Work with manager to design advanced nucleotides and phosphoramidites related product structures.
• Execute the synthesis and purification of nucleotides, phosphoramidites, and other biochemical reagents.
• Optimize synthetic routes and methodologies to enhance yield, purity, and scalability.
• Characterize synthesized compounds using analytical techniques such as HPLC, NMR, LC-MS, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
• Maintain accurate and detailed experiments records; analyze data, and present findings to internal teams.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory guidelines in all laboratory operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A BS or MS in Organic Chemistry with 2-5 years of industry experience.
• Strong experience in nucleotides, phosphoramidite synthesis.
• Excellent problem-solving, hands-on expertise in analytical techniques such as HPLC/MS, P-NMR/H-NMR.
• Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and adapt to a fast-paced biotech environment.
• High degree of integrity, reliability, and accountability.
• Strong sense of curiosity, passion for science, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Adaptable, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficient in software tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, and ChemDraw.

Pay: $63,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
